SECOND COHORT – SIX-WEEK BEGINNER ONLINE REO & TIKANGA PROGRAMME

E ngā ngutu karoro, tahuri mai ō kanohi, areare mai rā ō taringa ki te reo o te manu e kōrihi atu nei.

This is an opportunity for the first 20 Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki members to join our second cohort of our Six-Week Beginner Online Reo & Tikanga Programme.

When:

• Tuesday evenings, 6pm – 8pm
• Start date: Tuesday 15^th October 2024
• End date: Tuesday 19^th November 2024
  
  

What will be covered:

Karakia, karanga & pao, whaikōrero & mihi, waiata & haka, kawa and tikanga o te marae, pronunciation, basic grammar, sentence structures, everyday sentences, kīwaha, whakataukī.

Note:

This course is for iwi members who are beginners or who are already familiar with some basic te reo Māori kupu and phrases, and wish to improve or deepen their understanding of Te Reo me ngā Tikanga.

The requirements to apply:

• You must be a registered Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki iwi member. 
• You must be at least 18 years old. 
• You must have access to a digital device (e.g., a computer, laptop, or smartphone), a stable internet connection, and a commitment to attend all online lessons.

Limited Spaces:

We have only 20 spaces available, so it will be first in, first-served. You will receive a confirmation email by 5pm this Friday, 11th October, if your application is successful. If the 20 spaces are filled before we receive your application, don’t worry—we will keep your details and contact you for our next intake early next year.
