We are pleased to announce our first ‘Te Rau o Tai’ wānanga for 2024.


Come and join us for our seventh Reo and Tikanga wānanga to date, to be held at Umupuia marae.


This wānanga is a safe space for all the descendants of Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki to learn your Reo and Tikanga on your marae alongside your whānau.

 

These are some of the key kaupapa we expect to cover at our Wānanga:

  • Whakawhanaungatanga & Whakapapa
  • Kawa & Tikanga o te marae
  • Karanga & Whaikōrero
  • Waiata & Haka
  • Te Reo Māori me ngā Tikanga
  • Pūrākau, Hītori & Tūtohu Whenua
  • Tikanga o te kāuta me te whakariterite kai
  • Ētehi kaupapa mō ngā rangatahi
